A New Year
Hi Everyone-
I'm excited at the prospect of another year riding in the Pan Mass Challenge and raising money for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This will be my fourth year riding as a member of the Captain's Crew. Words cannot describe the sadness that we feel at the loss of our Captain, Don Govoni Jr. We know he will be with us as we travel the long and winding roads during our months of training and as always he will be helping us complete the 190 mile, two day ride August 4th-5th.
I'm hoping to use this blog to chronicle our rides, fund raising and and other wonderful experiences that the Pan Mass Challenge brings. This is a picture from last years PMC taken along the Cape Cod Canal - I hope it gives you the same feeling it gives to me when I see it...
Please help support us this year. Last year we organized a bowling fundraiser at Ryan Family Amusement in South Yarmouth, MA on Friday May 20th 6-9pm. We had prizes and raffles - it was a great night! More details will be posted in the near future about this years fundraisers. We will likely have some more Wine Tastings. Last year we had a great event hosted by Seven G's Liquor Shoppes at the Ardeo Grille at King's Way.
